Sex before marriage is becoming popular in the western world and developing countries such as Nigeria where the majority are Christians and sex before marriage is considered a sin in Christianity. The human sex drive is one of the strongest instinct there is in humans and many other animals. Many would be Christians find it hard to obey this commandment which is universal and somewhat sacred to the Christian faith. Some dissidents argue that suppressing the sexual drive for the sake of religion is a mechanism for religious leaders to gain power and control over their subjects. they believe that it is no business of religious busybody what consenting adults or youths do with each other in bed. Others opine that it all signals to the end of days and a ploy by demonic forces to lead many to eternal destruction.
